Matt Wiebe has tagged me here, the person tagged has to say five personal things about themselves their readers may not know so here goes;
- I grew up in Scientology, yes Scientology. My mom was their fourth most influential auditor in the world. She audited celeb clientel for them among others, and actually help create their promo vid. Not your typical testimony huh.
- I created and led an aggresive Christian Skate team that would go out to comps all throughout Central Flordia while in High School. We had three of our team of eight go pro for a little bit. We were called Brothers Of Christ. It was a good missional get together and gig while it lasted.
- I grew up for six years on a farm in a little town called Kinsale, Virginia. So even though there is a lot of urban centered or influenced posts on this site I’ve got an agrigarian background. I even used to hunt rabbits for dinner with a bow and arrow – believe or not.
- I proposed to my wife in Central Park, NYC. We’re going back there for our one year anniversary in just over a week. She doesn’t know what we’ll be doing, and neither will you but I’ll post a pic or two from our celebration…its going to be a good trip.
- One of the most influential people in my life, and the man who helped fill out for me what a real pastor is to be like while I was in college is an ex-con who used to rob people at ATM’s with a shotgun, he even robed other drug dealers. He blogs here.
Well enough about me, time to tag others and pass along the fun. Mark Traphagen time to come out of blog slumber – tag you’re it. Scot Mcknight if you’re not to busy writing the next great JesusCreed work or drinking tequila in ME HE CO - tag you’re it. Art Boulet if you can put down your ancient Jewish Rabbinical homework at UPENN Masters study or your Reformed theological studies at Westminster – uber geek
-you’re it to budy.

Ahh, thanks for playing, I’d almost given up hope on you.
The first one is definitely pretty out there! And I too grew up on a farm, although I much prefer the city now.

Scot and Art are done; Scot married his ‘grade school’ sweet heart – talk about love at first sight – wow. And Art the uber geek tutored Hebrew before he took it at WTS, yikes. Lets see if Mark will post his reply
Matt, your tag is passing on buddy!

Hmm, when Jess and I have kids I’ll be watching their grade school rooms and weeding out the bad ones
If they can jump 3 feet at that age I’ll know we’re getting a good one

Oh Tony, you were so mild in your choice of “5 personal things about you.” I’m so tempted to add 5 much more colorful personal things about Tony Stiff to the blog world!!! …but I will display some self-control…and some compassion!
