Read the whole Christianity Today piece here. I must say this brief piece was a very thoughtful, introspective and biographical article. Driscoll is easily one of the more interesting ‘rock stars’ of Evangelical Christianity today, and surely one of the more effective missional leaders of the Post-Christian church. Its hard not to be taken in by his provocative style and message, as well as taken aback by his somewhat ironical fundamentalism’s. In a world where ecclesial politics produce nothing but polar opposites Mark Driscoll is a happily welcomed anomaly.
In light of both this interview and his own confessions I think it would be good to keep the Driscoll’s in prayer as Mark continues to grow as a missional network leader, a pastor, a husband, and a father. Praying specifically that the Lord provides him with godly allies who will speak the difficult words of – ‘take a break Mark and go be with family’. Praise the Lord for his ‘Martin’s’

I listen to Driscoll most weeks, but Id never heard about the Kevlar vest preaching. Thats pretty hardcore. I though that article read alot like a letter to all those diaspora-Marshillers out there.
But man was his last sermon nuts. He blew his top. I’m surprised that after his last sermon Christianity Today did not take it down.
