Tony, I didn’t know if you were referring to this or if you were just hoping to see it someday, but Bauckham’s book on John is being released this month by Baker Academic. It’s entitle The Testimony of the Beloved Disciple.
I’m looking forward to it, especially after reading his work on the Gospels (Jesus and the Eyewitnesses). I’ve always been confused by the Gospel of John. Like N.T. Wright says, “I feel about St. John’s Gospel the same way I feel about my wife: I love her, but I do not claim to understand her.” Hopefully Bauckham will continue with his high level of scholarship and clarity!

Art I was aware of that, I actually blog its forthcomingness, ahhhh – bauckhammmmmmm you can almost chant his name – kidding.
Bird mentioned two others, one in the Two Horizon’s series and one in NIGNT series. Its the latter I’m going to spend the bucks on of the three…but perhaps his earliest book is a better buy?
Of coarse I’m still waiting for a forthcoming title on Shalom by a certain someone
