Something about seagull’s at the beach near sunset that makes me realize God’s nearness more than anything else I can experience. It could be that I grew up at the beach, but there’s something about the ocean’s quiet lullaby and the seagulls evening calls that makes me think about the beauty and peace of God. I could sit there for hours on end just listening to their crys and feeling the gentle breeze blow by.

One of the desires of my heart is to share this moment with Jess and our babies if the Lord blesses us with them. Holding their little warm bodies up high above the sand drifts, letting the gulls serenade them to sleep as the world itself seems to come to a gentle, beautiful stop – reds turning to purples to blues to black.
